TESTIMONY: God showed me how He could use a wrestler to spread his word. UCW was on tour in Virginia on a mission trip. This weekend was the most incredible of my life. Todd Zane, Rob Adonis, and I were trying to come up with a storyline that would unfold so that no one in the crowd would misunderstand it. We wanted to use a “Parable- like” Drama to deliver God’s word…..in the Ring! The three of us met in a classroom at the Salvation Army in Virginia – and the vision unfolded. This was the day that would change UCW forever. We had never attempted anything like this before. During this meeting, the Holy Spirit was moving and giving us exactly what we needed to accomplish this. We came up with “THE THREE TEMPTATIONS!” This was a simulation of the Temptation of Christ on the Mountain, which was at his weakest “physical state.” Christ had FASTED for 40 days. Satan attempted to capitalize on this “FLESHLY FACTOR.” Christ resisted and began his public ministry. Todd and I were the (Devil / Bad Guys) that tempted Rob, the (Christ – like / Good Guy) and attempted to lure him to the Evil side. Rob did not budge. We eventually wrestled in a LADDER match for the UCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. In the end, I needed to know what made Rob so strong. How was he able to resist the temptation of MONEY, POWER, PROTECTION, FAME, ….THE WORLD? What was keeping him going after everything I had personally put him through, physically? Rob told me of his Faith in God and how he knew God would always be there for him. I asked him how he could believe in something he could not SEE? He said that was FATH – He knew God was there because he could FEEL him. Well, Sticking with the story line – I told him I could not believe in something that I could not see….and walked out of the ring. Todd and I walked out the door and watched and prayed to God that people would receive and accept the greatest gift of all… SALVATION. FOURT-SIX (46) people came forward that night and gave their lives to Christ. God showed me that night that he wanted ME to be doing what we were doing. From that day forward, I have been living my life for God and Ministering his word with UCW. We were created by HIM…For HIM…!
